Brookfield Farm invites Hivesharers and friends to our first Honey Celebration.

The harvest is in, let's celebrate! Three foodie farm events prepared for you on 12 and 13 September - hope you can come to them all.

• Greek Feast in local  Derg Inn, Terryglass Village Sunday13 September 3pm
  • Enjoy Terryglass Vintage Festival, also on Sunday 13th with old time rural machinery and crafts brought to life

Honey Celebration 

Honey enthusiasts and our Hiveshare community immerse in a honey - soaked day as part of the 'A Taste of Lough Derg' Festival in Co.Tipperary. 

Kids' activities! Meet a bee keeper! Enjoy the lovely farm landscape and views! Honey Queen Catherine Caulwell for bee related knowledge! Hivesharers collect your honey share, and enjoy the best of local produce at our honey festival. 

It has been an exciting few months since we launched at the RDS National Craft and Design Fair December 2014. Due to demand, and inclement bee weather, we have extended Hiveshare - Ailbhe has her first beekeeping qualification, and we are working with some wonderful beekeepers. Thank you Hivesharers!

Brookfield Farm BBQ! Come all ye Foodies and feast with us on tasty produce made lovingly and locally after your Brookfield Farm Tour. Enjoy a special pig on the spit BBQ alongside a taste of Mead made from Brookfield Farm honey. Try local produce : salads and desserts, all with a theme of honey. Click for more info!     Head on Sunday to our Greek themed Feast at the Derg Inn - voted " Best Gastropub in Munster". A feast filled with wholesome local produce starring our lovely lamb of course! A short talk on lamb production and intro to beekeeping Brookfield farm-style. Then feast away on local goodness like Mossfield Organic Yoghurt, Cais na Tire cheese and other local produce served on the day including ours!  Another great event in the 'Taste of Lough Derg' Foodie Summer Festival, and the local Vintage Festival is next door!  Tickets €25  (plus booking fee) Book here!
